I think the entire domain name industry (domainers) needs to take a close look at itself. I know this will be an unpopular statement (probably not pubished), but it seems to me that the days of buying bulk domain names and just parking them are OVER OVER OVER. The major search engines are not in favor of this and there are only so many words in the dictionary. I think it's time that the domainers figure out that they may need to spend a little time on their sites if they want to make money from them... I know, a difficult pill to swallow after the hay-days they have had...

BUT - the good news is that with only a minimal effort on SEO, they can see the profits they once had.. And it can be scalable to the level they would like..

I sell domain names on eBay for marketing and business development purposes. Keep in mind that anytime you limit yourself to trying to sell a domain name in 7 to 10 days you stand little chance of getting the right buyer at the right time. The way to maximize your domain name values and sales figures is to create some content for the domain, run enough ads on it to pay for the domain name renew and then some, then start promoting the domain name for sale. Once you have some nice traffic coming to it you can also cash park the domain name, running a "this domain is for sale" ad on the site. You'll be surprised how many bids you'll get if you truly have a good domain name and its drawing traffic.

Great piece of advice about selling on ebay. Is that how you make money from most of your domains. I have a great website for finding available domain names (http://www.domainnamesoup.com) and I'm trying to find ways of selling domains. So far I haven't had much luck. Any advice on selling would be appreciated.
